Ellicott Elementary School Counseling Program – 2024-2025 School Year

Hello! Thank you for visiting the Ellicott Elementary Mental Health webpage!
Have you ever wondered what a school counselor does? As your school counselor, I believe all students are capable of being successful in school and in life. It is my goal to support all students’ academic, social/ emotional, and college/career readiness. Following the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) National Model means that your students are receiving data driven learning and support based on their current needs. With SecondStep® and Capturing Kids Hearts, the research based curriculums used, students build character first through classroom lessons; when extra support is needed, students may join small groups and/or individual instruction to build any missing skills. Some examples of the topics covered include: skills for learning, empathy, respect, emotion management, respect, courage, and bully prevention. Other skills/supports include diversity, goal setting, transition to middle school, social skills, managing anger, grief and loss, worry/anxiety, mindfulness, friendship skill development, coping skills, and more!

It is my honor and pleasure to work within this community.
If you have any questions, suggestions, or comments you are invited to contact me at the information provided to the left of this page.
